Forest School

We are very proud to be becoming a Forest School here at Stoke by Nayland C of E Primary School.  Miss Moore, our Forest School Leader, has already completed much of her training and will be fully qualified in the next academic year.

We currently offer Forest School sessions to our Saplings Class in the beautiful wild garden within our school grounds.  We also run additional sessions to other groups of children across the school.

Forest School seeks to motivate, engage and inspire children through nature-based learning and positive outdoor experiences.  Activities are provided and the children choose and tailor the activities to suit them.  Children learn to assess, appreciate, take risks and make decisions, which all support mental and spiritual health, communication skills and social relationships.  Connecting with nature helps children to understand the world and it also helps them to feel part of it.
